Joel is an analyst at Gladstone Place Partners, where he has worked on a range of financial communication and investor relations assignments. Project highlights include Barrick Gold’s $17.8 billion proposed takeover of Newmont Mining and subsequent joint venture agreement, The Kraft Heinz Company’s appointment of Miguel Patricio as CEO, Marriott’s announced data breach and Reverence Capital Partners’ $2 billion acquisition of Advisor Group. He has also worked on corporate communication mandates for companies including AT&T, WeWork, Arconic and Duke Energy.
Prior to joining, Joel held internships at organizations including Markel Corporation, where he worked with their Treasury Department, the home office of Congressman Bill Pascrell, where he assisted in legislative procedure, and Capital Results, a Richmond, Virginia public affairs consultancy. While at Capital Results, Joel aided in message and communications development for grassroots initiatives at the local and statewide levels. He also helped develop creative messaging for corporate digital ad campaigns. Joel is a sports enthusiast and was a member of the UVA Men’s Club Soccer Team.
Joel is a graduate of the University of Virginia where he received a B.A. in English.
