Michael Bruen is an associate at Gladstone Place Partners. Michael has broad communications and corporate affairs experience having worked both in agency and in-house roles across banking and financial services, corporate and enterprise technology.
Michael has worked with companies including Arbor Realty Trust, North American Partners in Anesthesia, and Freeport-McMoRan across a variety of mandates. His transaction experience includes ADT Security’s $600 million partnership with Google Nest, GTCR and Reverence Capital Partners’ proposed $2.1 billion acquisition of Wells Fargo Asset Management from Wells Fargo, and Hudson Executive Investment Corp.’s proposed $1.4 billion SPAC merger with Talkspace.
Prior to joining Gladstone, Michael worked as a senior communications advisor for leading Australian-bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia. He was responsible for the communication requirements for the Business and Corporate Bank and the Bank’s stockbroking arm, CommSec, as they navigated the Australian Government’s Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry. In this role, Michael managed customer crises and brand reputation issues and supported several business divestments.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.
