Michael LandauSenior Vice President
Michael Landau is a senior vice president at Gladstone Place Partners where he advises companies on communications matters related to investor relations, M&A, litigation and issues management. He has a decade of in-house and agency experience providing strategic communications expertise for clients, management teams and Boards across industries and in a wide range of high-profile corporate events, including transactions, proxy contests, management changes and crises.
Prior to joining Gladstone, Michael was the director of corporate communications at Minerals Technologies (MTI), a NYSE-listed company. In this role, he managed the overall internal and external communications agenda across the company with responsibility for executing a global strategy, which included message development, public relations, investor-focused activities, employee communications, social and digital media, and government relations. In addition, Michael advanced MTI’s multi-stakeholder ESG communication strategy with a specific focus on creating the annual Sustainability Report.
Before MTI, Michael spent seven years at Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher and most recently served as a director. Michael advised clients on a variety of special situations and helped to implement robust external and internal communications programs. He supported companies on a range of transactions including GGP in its $15 billion sale to Brookfield Property Partners, Shire Pharmaceuticals in its $62 billion sale to Takeda Pharmaceuticals, ACE in its $28 billion acquisition of Chubb, Family Dollar in its $8.5 billion sale to Dollar Tree, and Verizon Communications in its agreement to acquire Vodafone’s interest in Verizon Wireless for $130 billion. In addition, Michael has prepared communications strategies for clients facing activist shareholders and proxy contests.
Michael graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in Human and Organizational Development.
